My English Journey

Hello, there. This is my first time trying to write my post in English. I think I'm still struggling with my diction, grammar, and writing style. But it's OK, as long as I never stop doing this, at least I would learn something.
I decided to learn English consistently since September 2nd, 2022 (Omg, I do remember the date! T.T). I didn't try to do some English level test at the first (I was regret about this), so I couldn't realize exactly my improvement and the differences.
Earlier, my purpose is pretty simple, 'I just want to talk in English fluently'. And now, I know that is unclear and immeasurable. Because when I tried learning it, I realized if English isn't just about transfer your native language into the other. It's deeper. Learning new language, in my case : English, meaning we're trying to force our critical thinking and curiosity to ensure we would be able to talk with various kinds of topic. So, simultaneously I do learn English and increase my knowledge.
To help my progress, I'm using several smartphone applications, such as Fondi, Hilokal, Elsa Speak, Hallo App, and Tandem (of course some of them are not free, but we should spend more (money, time, and energy) if we want to learn something. Those are really helpful because I can talk with foreigner. Now I think I've been improving a lot (I'm really grateful about this), and now my English level is B2 (upper intermediate).
I also focus to be an active listener by listening lots of podcast with various speaker (approximately 1-2 months), and now I've been moving to watch news by BBC. And my other study plan is to read a lot, such as books, news, even comment sections in social media.
And today, I think it's been 3 months, I'm still on fire to do this xD I'm so strict with my study plan, so I never spend 1 day without progressing, even it's just a small improvement, it's kind of addicted actually. I prefer to chat or make a call in English instead of my native language (that's weird T.T). And my time to scroll on social media also extremely decreasing. When I opened socmed, I only focus to read current news because I need more info to talk with people around the world. You get my point, right?
For the next post, probably I'll try to write in English as well. It's also fun when I'm typing randomly in here xD
Thank you, Readers! See ya!
